Environmental Programs Coordinator
Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center, Inc. is a non-profit dedicated to conservation through education, recreation, and research. We have two environmental centers, Alligator Creek in Punta Gorda and Cedar Point Environmental Park in Englewood. Together we deliver free field trips to over 2,000 Charlotte County students each year.
Our programs include boat tours, wading trips, guided hikes, kayak tours, Little Explorers, Butterfly gardening, and animal encounters. We are constantly innovating new and unique programs in an effort to educate our visitors about world around them. We work to create meaningful interactions that will foster lifelong learning and the spirit of conservation.
The Environmental Programs Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and fully implementing all existing defined environmental educational programs and creating new programs, subject to CEO approval, as deemed necessary. Success ensures that we continue to fulfill our mission to raise public awareness of the value of our natural and cultural resources by providing environmental education, recreation, research, and management of conservation lands.
