Our exciting summer camps at the Alligator Creek location are the perfect way for kids ages 7-11 to explore the wonders of South Florida’s nature! From June 2nd-27th, your child can sign up for one of four action-packed weeks filled with hiking, trail explorations, learning about local plants and animals, playing games, and creating fun crafts. June 2nd - 6th: Skills and Thrills

Kick off your summer with 'Skills and Thrills' Summer Camp at the beautiful Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center! This exciting week-long adventure is designed for kids ages 7-11 who are ready to explore the great outdoors. Campers will dive into the essentials of animal identification, survival skills, trail tips, and outdoor exploration. With hands-on activities and expert guidance, they will learn how to identify local wildlife, navigate through nature trails, and develop important survival techniques. Each day will bring a new adventure, giving your child the opportunity to connect with nature, build confidence, and create lasting memories. Whether they're learning how to track animals, build shelters, or discover the wonders of the natural world, this camp will spark curiosity and ignite their love for the outdoors. June 9th - 13th: Forest Fantasy

Join us for Week 2 of Summer Camp at the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center, where the theme is 'Forest Fantasy'! This week, campers ages 7-11 will embark on an exciting journey through the lush trails surrounding CHEC, exploring the diverse plants, animals, and natural beauty that the forest has to offer. Each day will be packed with adventure as we hike through wooded paths, learn about the ecosystems that thrive in the forest, and discover the fascinating creatures that call this environment home. Campers will have the chance to create nature-inspired crafts, engage in interactive games, and participate in hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the outdoors. This week will be filled with outdoor exploration, creativity, and fun, making it the perfect experience for young adventurers eager to immerse themselves in the forest’s magic.

June 16th - 20th: Sea-mazing Adventure

Make a splash and dive into Week 3 of Summer Camp with our exciting 'Sea-mazing Adventure' at the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center! This week, campers ages 7-11 will embark on an unforgettable journey of ocean exploration, discovering the fascinating world beneath the waves and learning about the vital marine ecosystems that are so important to Southwest Florida. Throughout the week, campers will engage in hands-on aquatic lessons, uncovering the secrets of the ocean and the creatures that call it home. This camp will offer hands-on learning opportunities, giving campers a chance to touch, observe, and appreciate the incredible biodiversity that thrives in our local waters. Whether they’re learning about sea creatures, studying coastal habitats, or experiencing marine life firsthand, this 'Sea-mazing Adventure' is sure to be a highlight of their summer!

 

June 23rd - 27th: Jungle Jamboree

We're wrapping up an unforgettable summer with a thrilling 'Jungle Jamboree' for the final week of camp at the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center! Campers ages 7-11 will have a blast immersing themselves in the wild world of jungle ecosystems. This week will be filled with exciting activities, from crafting jungle-inspired art to hiking the beautiful trails of CHEC. Campers will explore the lush landscapes, discover the plants and animals that thrive in our local ecosystems, and learn how the delicate balance of the jungle keeps its wildlife happy and healthy. This hands-on experience will give campers a closer look at the creatures that call our local environment home and offer a deeper appreciation for the importance of conservation. This final week of camp promises to be the perfect mix of adventure, education, and fun, leaving campers with incredible memories and a newfound respect for the natural world. Join us for the 'Jungle Jamboree' and celebrate the wonders of nature one last time this summer!

 

 

Camp is available for ages 7-11 and is provided from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Pre-care is available starting at 8 am, and post-care is available until 4 pm at a rate of $10 per hour. Lunch and snacks are not provided.

CHEC camps take place within a nature preserve and offer campers the opportunity to explore native ecosystems and wildlife. To do so, appropriate attire, materials, and behavior are required to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all. Registration is $200 per camper per week.
