Trail Guide Training at Cedar Point

Finding Inspiration in Nature

Cedar Point is hosting free trail guide training seminars to grow our volunteer trail guide team for the upcoming year.  (During the summer months, Cedar Point has free guided nature walks scheduled once a week  on Wednesdays, and during the rest of the year, we have 3 free guided nature walks scheduled throughout the week).

This training is also relevant to our IC's and educators.  All volunteers, IC's and educators are welcome to participate from both CHEC locations.

We have invited the Land Management team of Charlotte County to talk about the environmental parks.

Join us!  The training will include all the fundamentals of what you need to know to prepare and lead guided nature walks in Charlotte County.  Training will be led by CHEC naturalists and volunteers, starting with a guided tour of the 115-acre beautiful  Cedar Point Environmental Park  and followed by a presentation indoors.  Please come prepared for a nature walk with closed-toe shoes, plenty of drinking water, hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. Please bring a notebook if you would like to take notes.

Dates & Times

Session 1 ~ Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

Led by CHEC's own Tome Shaaltiel.

Session 2 ~ Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 8:30 am - 11:30 am.
